Trauma, Grief and Loss

Adjusting well to new life circumstances.

Welcome to a safe place to unpack your story
and find direction in confusing times.

Traumatic experiences can derail people in unique ways.

Do you have these symptoms? Nightmares, feeling jumpy or paranoid that the experience will happen again, rigid boundaries, or feeling like you are watching yourself live life on the outside looking in? Times of grief and loss are times full of confusion, physical tiredness, emotional pain, feeling “othered” while other people live their normal lives, and feeling lost as you adjust to a new life without your loved one.

‍ ‍

Bad experiences don’t have to define you, nor do they have to determine your future…

Traumatic experiences require you look inward, assess and heal. You will be able to identify what exactly is happening in your body and mind, understand why, and then discover how you can best move forward. You will learn to appreciate the signals that your body gives that make you feel “othered”, why they show up, and be able to resolve them with specific actions. You will leave with practical tools to mentally and physically create safety. At the end of our sessions you will be able to make meaning of the experiences that were once haunting.

Trauma, Grief and Loss Counseling.
Equip yourself for a lifetime.

Appreciate the story.

The first step to recovery is validation. Your body is telling you a story that will make sense to you. We will learn what that story is together.

Learn Practical Tools.

The in-between steps in recovery involve psychoeducation, practical coping skills, and understanding how our past affects our present.

Create a good future.

The last step in recovery is making meaning of the bad experience as it relates to your goals. Bad things happen to everyone, but we get to choose the role it plays in our lives.
